Link Trainer
This wartime original link Trainer was gifted to us to remove the only bits left in it which were the fan and intercom, all the other bits were missing.
I could not bring myself to just bin it so over 18 months I restored it to original condition.
In the absence of any internals we chose to fit it out with computer controlled graphics and to be flown as several types of aircraft.
It can now be flown both with its integral instruments which have been made to work with simulation programmes or by VR which gives total immersion
It is situated in a room with an instructor’s desk complete with crab and associated instruments for the period.
The flight pattern is very accurate for the type of aeroplane flown including the Lancaster which can be flown from RAF Scampton as it was in 1944.
